Nature and photography have been instrumental in my own journey to find peace, contentment, and fulfilment in life.

Get to know me!

Hi there, I'm so glad you've found your way to my website! My name is Kim Stone, and I'm a mindfulness teacher accredited by CPCAB. I completed a level 4 certificate in Integrating Mindfulness and Compassion with Mindfulness UK, and I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Professional Practice from the University of Worcester. Additionally, I have a Level 2 counselling qualification from Tower House Counselling.

Before I became a mindfulness teacher, I had a varied career that included serving in the armed forces as part of the Royal Signals, working in primary education for over a decade, and providing emotional support on a mental health charity helpline. However, over the past five years, I've been dedicating myself to researching, learning, and exploring mental health and mindfulness. With my own experience of anxiety and trauma, I've been motivated to understand how mindfulness can be used creatively in nature. Today, I offer workshops in Mindful Photography and Mindfulness in Nature, helping others discover the benefits of connecting with nature through mindfulness.

My interest in photography began in 2011 when I was living in North Devon. As I started using photography as a way to manage my mental wellbeing, I began to discover the power of nature as a healing tool. I even became a finalist in the Jessops 'Share your summer' competition in 2016! You can check out some of my photography work on Instagram if you're interested. Living in the beautiful South West of the UK, I feel lucky to have spent most of my life surrounded by stunning natural scenery. These days, I live in a village in North Somerset and am a mum to two adult children. I'm also part of a blended family with teens, which keeps life interesting!

Finally, I'm proud to be a regular volunteer at the Earthlight Psychic Garden, where I get to learn about the healing properties of plants. It's amazing how much there is to discover about the natural world, and I feel grateful to have the opportunity to explore it in this way. I hope that by sharing my story, you feel inspired to learn more about mindfulness and the ways it can improve your life.

My Philosophy

At the heart of Naturally Mindful lie my core values: accessibility, empathy, and non-judgment. These values aren't just words on a page; they are the guiding principles that shape every aspect of what I do.

Accessibility means that my offerings are open to all, regardless of background or experience. I strive to create a welcoming space where everyone feels empowered to embark on their own journey towards healing and self-discovery.

Empathy is the foundation of my approach. I understand the struggles that accompany mental health challenges because I've been there myself. With compassion and understanding, I meet my clients where they are, offering support and guidance every step of the way.

Non-judgment is woven into the fabric of Naturally Mindful. I believe in creating a safe and inclusive environment free from judgment or stigma. Here, you are free to explore, express, and embrace your true self without fear of criticism or condemnation.

These core values serve as my North Star, guiding me as I curate immersive workshops and sessions designed to support mental health recovery, resilience, and holistic well-being.

Join me on this journey of self-discovery and transformation, where nature, creativity, and mindfulness converge to soothe the soul and ignite the spirit.
